I still have a suspicion that Caleb Williams is angling (with all the little things throughout the last few months) to be a Viking..... which is the most rookie-QB-friendly team among Patriots/Vikings/Bears/Commanders.... and would you look at that.... Vikings getting in position to trade up into the top 4......
I think people may he underestimating Kwesi.... I think his top target is Caleb and I'm guessing we are ready to trade the following to get Caleb:
2024 1st (#11)
2024 1st (#23)
2025 1st
2026 1st
Four 1st round picks..... and we won't need those 2025 & 2026 first rounders because we are already loaded on offense..... Caleb I assume is VERY intrigued by throwing to Jefferson and his former teammates Addison....... and we have $100mil of cap space to fill in all gaps via free agency in lieu of the 1st round picks.....
Now all of you can tell me.... what is the most realistic scenario as to how we trade those FOUR 1sts to get Caleb? Direct trade with Bears? Would be hard for them or any team to turn down 4 firsts for 1 first..... or would it take Caleb forcing the issue behind the scenes so Bears don't pick him and instead we trade the four 1sts to Commanders?
Why does Caleb want to be a Viking, you ask? No it's not the Homer in me.... it actually makes sense.... look at it from his angle..... he would get Kevin O'Connell, Jefferson, former teammate Addison, Hockenson, Darrisaw/O'Neill......... that would be a dream for a rookie QB....... AND knowing the same team will have $100mil to spend after his rookie year...... so THAT is why I'm stuck on being suspicious that he's trying to gently angle his way to being a Viking.... and who knows.... there's over a month left prior to draft.... maybe the "gently angle" becomes more aggressive (behind the scenes)... his dad has already shown he's not shy about making some noise.....
