Kwesi missing on Cine really double downs on how bad he fucked up his first draft.

I have ye little faith he is going to somehow "get it" now. I fear he is going to ruin this team for years to come.

How much and how do we exactly factor in the fact that his 1st draft had practically all Rick Spielman scouts in place during that scouting season?

Knowing that he replaced many of them the following draft.....

I'm not excusing the results..... but I also don't think we can simply ignore something that glaring/relevant.....

Yeah that's a great point. I think all of the excuses for Kwesi need to stop. He has full ownership of the roster and his moves. Can't keep giving him passes and treating him with kid gloves. 

SK- you may remember, because (wow, quite impressive) we go back this far.... but wayyyy back when, I used to say.... it's unfair to judge Rick Spielman with the Triangle of Authority structure in place..... yes, you read that right.... if you remember my posts from wayyyyy back then.... you'd remember I gave even Rick fkn Spielman of all people a pass... until it was absolutely clear that he was calling the shots (or otherwise widely reported that he had final say on any particular move prior to that... such as Ponder being his decision)

Once Rick was promoted to GM in early 2012, that's when I said we need to give him 3 full offseasons/seasons to ensure he has enough time to build HIS team...... after those 3 seasons, that's when I started calling for him to be fired.......since he failed, after those 3 seasons, to build a legit Superbowl contending team.....

Now ask yourself..... was I (of all people) "making excuses" for Rick? Answer is NO....

Same applies here for Kwesi.....

If you can prove to me that he had FULL authority to make any and all changes within scouting department, team building including draft picks, etc.... then fine.... but that's NOT what the Wilfs advertised with their "collaborative" structure (different name, same BS as Triangle of Authority)

So I ask again..... how and to which degree do we account (when evaluating Kwesi's work as GM) for Rick's scouts being in place along with some other "collaborative" BS mixed in?

It's a tough question to answer.... I don't know the answer...... it seems you think he should be 100% accountable regardless just because of his title "GM"..... I disagree with that completely, because he's clearly a GM in title only.... dumb Wilfs reverted to their failed "Triangle of Authority" (excuse me, "collaboration") structure......

I don't even know if it is even, under such a BS structure, to evaluate the "GM" fairly...... which is why I didn't try to with Rick nor Kwesi (until Rick took over full control as a true GM - not just by title, but in practice)......

Best case scenario with Cine imo would be if we could flip him for a 5th rd pick. Probably wishful thinking but if he doesn't fit then why prolong the inevitable
