Williams will be either a superstar or a dud. My major concerns are that he holds the ball way to long much like Fields does now and in college. He can't seem to not do it. Yes his scrambling ability is fantastic but it seems he is looking for a receiver to be wide open and that rarely happens in the NFL. The other concern that I have that kinda goes along with it is taken from this video on him. There isn't many anticipatory throws and thats basically what the NFL is. Being able to trust your receivers and throw to a spot is huge. This could be a major reason for him holding on to the ball too long. He is definitely a player that I would dig into to see if he lives for the game and will work at it or is just living off his god given talents. He had a better season in 22 vs 23 and that is a huge concern for me.
Me personally, I would go with Mayes or Daniels. They improved every season and I like that. I think Daniels will splash earlier than Mayes because of his running ability but Mayes will probably be better in the long run.
and i agree he looked much better last year then he did this year......did the generation QB talk get to his head? was it coaching? his bad defense? his love for the game? immaturity? i just hate that there are so many things you have to convince yourself of when looking at his film
and again this is being pretty nitpicky as i would love to see him on the vikings and i still think he belongs right there at the top.....but when you are called a generational talent you should be a little more "perfect" than what he showed this past year
