Hello all in Vikings land. As my team retools in its attempt to be the first team in history to win the Super Bowl with absolutely no offensive line, I thought I'd take a moment to pop over here and wipe away some tears. But it's okay because he's in a better place now. And I'm talking about half of Vikings nation's favorite player by the end of next season, Andrew Van Ginkle.
Remember what Buddy Ryan said about Cris Carter that, "All he does is catch touchdowns.?" All Van Ginkle does is make the play, make the big play and when another Viking forces the QB into a rushed pass or makes a RB or Receiver put the ball on the turf, that MFer is ALWAYS Johnny on the spot and he's housing it. I love AVG and I absolutely hate Chuckles the GM's guts for letting him go. But our loss is your gain. He has been so disrespected by the Dolphins that they don't deserve him and I'm glad he is back with Flores.
Flores was a bittersweet moment in Miami. He was stuck with a tampering idiot of an owner who seems to be satisfied with a clown sitting in our GMs chair. I do think the absolute lack of growth or any kind of offensive concept throughout of his tenure in Miami warranted his release.
HOWEVER...it is the only time in my life that when we went on defense I was on my feet every time believing we were going to score. It was exhilarating and let me tell you, the LB you just got is a big reason for that excitement. I'd be willing to make a bet that in the 2024-25 season, AVG blocks a punt, returns a (different) blocked punt for a TD, forces a fumble, returns a fumble for a TD, has multiple interceptions, returning at least one for a TD, makes some fantastic plays flowing to the ball or setting an edge and making a stout tackle to put an exclamation point on it and he will definitely have his fair share of Lawrence Taylor-like sacks. I really don't think any of you are really ready for what you are about to get with that stud back in Flores' killer defense. I f**king love Flores' defense. It's the most fan-friendly defense there is and man oh man did you add a chess piece to the board and that young fella has gotten bigger, stronger and faster and is just stepping into HIS TIME. He's got the long blonde flowing locks that will add to the mystique in Minnesota but AVG is anything but average and his play is what's going to win your hearts.
I'm happy for you, dude. Glad you didn't end up on the Raiders. Even happier you are back with Flores. I really look forward to watching you crush it this year and becoming the iconic figure of that bada$$ Vikings deifense that's shaping up real nicely.
Minnesota is going to show him the appreciation he deserves and I think there will be a new name added to the "Best Linebacker in Football" discussion by season's end. Andrew Van Ginkle, the soft spoken, hard charging, big purple people eating ball magnet.
Well, that is my one and only visit to your forum Viking fans. Thanks for the vine to say goodbye to my favorite player. I'm glad he is in good hands. He's going to make you proud.
