This is a no frills forum designed for entertaining discussion about our beloved Vikings. Many of us have been discussing Vikings football together for years/decades, resulting in a camaraderie which we strive to preserve.
The group of us who have posted together for over a decade began on the original ESPN board
Then ESPN got rid of the board eventually.
AlaskanViking created a forum called Viking Nation for us to post on and keep the crew together
Before/during/after Viking Nation we merged with at least two other boards (not KFAN)
During each of the migrations/mergers, we would have posters from the original ESPN group splinter off (some created a separate forum called purple palace I believe), or simply not make the transition over (or result in being less active).
Our intention with this forum is to bring back as many of the original ESPN/Viking Nation crew together as possible. A reunion, and then to add brand new members such as yourself to the discussions as our group has taken quite a few hits so we are a skeletal version of the original ESPN board. Hopefully over time, we will be able to get more of those posters to reunite with us (I will keep trying).
That's the long answer to your question.
Tldr: most of us were from the original ESPN board/Minnesota Viking Nation, and we created this board to reunite as many of those members as possible (while adding new members such as yourself to the mix)
